Project Gallery

The project gallery below illustrates the wide range of water-based construction and restoration work that we undertake.

Natural pond construction, Hampshire.

The owners of this property wanted a pond for swimming, ecological diversity and, with the outdoor office overhanging the water, as a relaxing place to work from.  The maximum depth is 2.5 metres and the office deck makes a perfect diving platform.

The brief here was to construct a large swimming pond as part of a major restoration of the house and garden.

Reflection pool for Grand Designs house, Wiltshire.

A circular pool with a circular mound made from the excavated soil.

Bridge construction, Hampshire.

The existing wooden sleeper bridge over a Hampshire river needed replacing, so a new 12 metre bridge was constructed on site using cedar and larch.

Victorian lake restoration and maintenance, Berkshire.

Several major improvements were needed to this beautiful old lake in Berkshire.
There was no access around parts of the boggy perimeter. The dam was leaking, the island was eroding and the oak summerhouse was beyond saving.

Building a natural pond, with stone edging, Hampshire.

The owners of this property wanted a large pond to replace an old smaller pond.

Stream and pond construction in Hampshire.

These two ponds have fitted in well to this sloping garden.
Wild flower turf was used around the ponds and to create a wild flower meadow on the land above the ponds.

Large natural pond construction in Wiltshire.

This pond, near Stourhead, was designed to replace a previous smaller pond that had
been empty for many years despite several attempts to repair it with puddled clay.

Syon House conservatory pond, London.

We were commissioned to create a large formal pond within the historic conservatory at Syon House in West London.

Decking and pond construction in Berkshire.

The brief here was to create access to this woodland pond that had very overgrown banks. The island was also restored.

Pond construction in Dorset.

Here we had to rebuild a large clay pond that had developed a serious leak and emptied itself very quickly. A butyl liner was used as the new waterproofing membrane.

Pond decking and pond restoration in Dorset.

Here we dredged the overgrown and silted pond then constructed a 40 metre boardwalk and 4m x 4m wooden deck.

Pond repair, Albury, Guildford, Surrey.

This brick-lined pond was designed by John Evelyn in the 1660's and had been empty for some time.

Riverbank protection, Blandford, Dorset.

This Dorset riverbank had been showing significant erosion and undercutting.
