Riverbank restoration and erosion control, Dorset.

Erosion was becoming a problem for this riverside property in Dorset. The client wanted a clean edge to the near bank so we used green oak to facilitate this.

Behind the new oak timber ‘wall’ a geotextile membrane with 40mm shingle was installed to stabilise the soil and the front was dressed with a substantial amount of 40mm-80mm shingle to prevent erosion from the moving water.

The completed project looks good and works well. All access points were extremely limited and we brought the materials across an immaculate garden without causing any damage to paving or lawns.

A cedar deck was also installed to complement the summerhouse.
