Victorian lake and

water gardens

This is an ongoing project involving the restoration and improvement of this historic estate near Hungerford. Works on the lake involve the following:

Demolition and replacement of the Edwardian summerhouse.

Rebuilding of the island.

New 15 metre bridge to the island.

New 15 metre deck into open water.

Repairs to leaking dam.

180 metre boardwalk through bog.

Bankside retainment.

Extensive planting of mature aquatic plants.

New bridge over inlet stream.

Restoration and replanting of 200 metre stream garden.

In addition there are 5 large linked ponds feeding this lake which will all be restored and replanted.

There are also plans to build another lake and to create water features in other wet parts of this estate.
